- Career Insights in Tech w/Redgate Software and the SIM Club – April 11. The SIM Club (MIS) is hosting a virtual workshop on April 11. The guest speaker is Kellyn Gorman from Redgate Software. All students are invited. Kellyn Gorman from Redgate Software will share unique career insights in tech, focusing on unconventional ways to get ahead and become indispensable. She’ll discuss strategies like “managing out” versus “managing up,” rethinking networking, and the importance of mentorship, allyship, and sponsorship. She’ll also highlight how small, consistent efforts can lead to big achievements, using her own journey as an “accidental technologist” as an example. Lastly, she’ll explore recurring patterns in technology, showing how recognizing these cycles can help make tech careers more resilient. – Register for the Zoom Link.
