Visit the Office of Student Involvement/Coug Presence for more information about clubs.

Struggling Engineers

Struggling Engineers is a social club focused on connecting students in engineering majors (ME, EE, CS), but other majors are welcome. We will be organizing events such as movie nights or game nights on campus. Study group times will also be scheduled, primarily before tests or finals.

Meeting times will vary on interest and member availability, but will mostly be during the school week (Mon-Fri).

SAE Aerospace Club

WSUV Aerospace club is an interactive and hands on organization that specializes in the design, manufacture, and launch of high powered rocketry. While we are an Aerospace oriented organization, we have members from many different disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, and C.S. engineers. This club is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills working in a highspeed environment and closely with others of different disciplines.  The club has participated in the Spaceport America’s Cup, held in White Sands New Mexico and our goal is to attend again with a new rocket. The Spaceport competition is held yearly and involves teams from all over the world. It is hosted by Space-X, Blue Origin, and the Experimental Sounding Rocket Association (E.S.R.A.). The current rocket’s design will reach an altitude of 10,000 feet above ground level accompanied by an operational line of sight communications payload, state of the art Air Brake system and integrated Avionics bay.
